Creature Horror Templates
Create creature horror games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.
Creature horror puts a tangible monster at the center of the fear. There is a thing hunting you, and the terror comes from its presence: the sound of it approaching, the glimpse of it in the dark, the dread of being caught. Whether you fight, flee, or hide, the creature is the engine driving every tense moment.
A template gives you that predator running: a player who can move and react, a creature with pursuit and detection AI, controllable lighting, an audio system for its approach, and triggers for set-piece scares. With Summer Engine, the AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you shape the monster by describing it: ask for a creature that hunts by sound, one that retreats from light, a chase sequence through a corridor, or a moment where it bursts through a wall, and the AI wires the AI and scenes with you while you play in the dark to make sure the creature stays terrifying.
