ai game maker no sign up

Can you make a game with AI without signing up?

You can download Summer Engine and work on local projects without an account. Hosted Summer AI needs sign-in and credits. You can also connect an external AI agent through MCP using your own subscription.

If you want to try a game maker before creating an account, start with the free Summer Engine desktop app for macOS or Windows. Open a project, edit scenes and GDScript, run the game locally, and use the editor without paying Summer.

AI building has a separate path. Connect a supported coding agent through the MIT open-source Summer MCP server and use your existing agent subscription. Hosted Summer AI requires a Summer account and paid credits. New accounts are not promised free generation credits.

Your project remains on your machine. The desktop app is free proprietary software; its source is not public. The agent tools are MIT open source. Export depends on the target templates and toolchain, and you control testing and submission.

What works before sign-in

Download the desktop app, create or open a local project, edit scenes and scripts, and run it on your computer. You can build manually without a Summer account. Native installers are available for macOS and Windows; there is no Linux installer today.

Two ways to work with AI

An external coding agent can use the Summer MCP server with the AI subscription you already have. Summer-hosted AI is a separate paid service: sign in and have enough credits before you start a hosted build or generation.

From a first project to a playable game

Follow the fresh-project quickstart, make one small playable loop, and test it locally. The guide shows the next step without promising that hosted generation is free or that one prompt always makes a finished game.
