Characters are who the player controls and who they meet, and the right cast makes a world feel populated rather than empty. This collection gathers character and NPC art across the catalog: player heroes, townsfolk, vendors, quest-givers, and background people in both 2D sprites and low-poly 3D. Use them as the protagonist you steer, as the merchant in a shop, as the elder who hands out a quest, or as crowd filling a town square. Bring a character into Summer and ask the engine to add four-direction movement, an idle and walk animation, a dialog interaction, or a simple wander AI, all written in chat. Because Summer is compatible with Godot 4, each character imports as a standard sprite or mesh you can rig, animate, and reskin into a whole cast. Most character art is free under CC0-style licensing appropriate for commercial release, with a small attribution-required minority flagged on their pages.
