Body Horror Templates

Create body horror games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.

Body horror finds its dread in the flesh: transformation, infection, and the wrongness of a body that is no longer your own or behaving as it should. The fear is visceral and intimate, working through grotesque imagery and the unsettling sense of losing control of the one thing you thought you could trust.

A template gives you the tools to disturb: a first-person or fixed-camera controller, controllable lighting and atmosphere, an audio system for unsettling cues, environmental triggers, and a way to script transformations or reveals. With Summer Engine, the AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you direct the horror by describing it: ask for an infection meter that changes the player over time, a creature made of fused parts, a room that pulses like living tissue, or a mutation that alters your abilities, and the AI wires the systems and scenes with you while you play in the dark to make sure the body horror lands without tipping into camp.
