Sim Racer Templates

Create sim racer games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.

A sim racer is about authentic driving. Handling is grounded in real physics, weight transfer and tire grip matter, and mastering a car means learning braking points, racing lines, and how the machine behaves at the limit. The reward is precision: a perfectly executed lap that came from genuine skill, not forgiveness.

A strong foundation is a vehicle with physics-based handling, tunable grip and weight, a track with proper racing lines and lap timing, competent AI, and clear telemetry feedback. Because realism is the point, dialing the physics so the car feels believable and rewarding to control is the core of the work.

Because Summer Engine is an AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you tune that handling by describing it: ask for more understeer at high speed, tire grip that fades over a stint, a braking assist toggle, an AI that defends the racing line, or a lap-time display, and the AI edits the physics, track, and opponents with you while you drive lap after lap of your own build so the handling comes from real laps, not guesswork.
