Building Sandbox Templates

Create building sandbox games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.

A building sandbox is creation for its own sake. You get a set of parts and a space, and the goal is whatever you decide to make, from a working contraption to an elaborate showpiece. The appeal is the freedom and the toolset: good snapping, easy placement, and parts that combine in interesting ways.

A template gives you that toolkit running: a placement system with snapping, a palette of buildable parts, a free-roaming camera, and save and load so creations persist. With Summer Engine, the AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you extend it by describing it: ask for a new part with a hinge, a paint or color tool, a grid toggle, or a way to share a build, and the AI wires the placement and parts with you while you build in your own sandbox to feel how it handles.
