Rhythm Game Templates

Create rhythm game games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.

A rhythm game turns music into input. Notes scroll toward a hit line and the player presses in time, chasing a clean streak where every tap lands on the beat. The genre lives on feel: tight timing windows, audio and visual feedback that reward precision, and the rising tension of a combo you do not want to break. Get the sync right and a hard song becomes a performance.

A template gives you that core running: a note chart synced to a track, a scrolling lane and hit line, timing-window judgment (perfect, good, miss), a combo and score system, and audio-reactive feedback. With Summer Engine, the AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you build on it by describing it: ask for a new note type that must be held, a difficulty that adds lanes, a combo multiplier, or a chart editor for a song, and the AI wires the timing and scoring with you while you play to keep the hits feeling locked to the music.
