Reality check: You probably can't vibe-code a full game in one shot. Planning and milestones matter. Here's what we recommend:
  • Use Opus 4.6 to make a plan first. Tell the AI the implementer is less intelligent - keep the plan clear and simple.
  • Work in milestones: create the scene (1), core mechanic (2), polish (3). One at a time. Paste one milestone per fresh chat.
  • Set up GitHub and version control before the jam. Use VSCode, Cursor, or any IDE for versioning.
  • Have a fresh Summer Engine project ready before Feb 26. Upload to GitHub so you can version from day one.
  • Focus on the core fun mechanic. Is it running through a maze? Shooting monsters? Talking to NPCs? Get that feeling right. Nobody expects polish in 3 days.
  • Use Miro, Google Drive, or similar for project management. We have a simple template in the guides.
