Generated from: The player character of a scene from a small video game about: CAT TERRITORY. A fun, colorful, lighthearted 2D cartoon territory-control strategy game inspired by the structure of Rise to War (territory squares, armies, automatic battles, resources, alliances) but with a fully original setting: the player is a smart cat, the boss of a cat gang in a human city. Top-down slightly angled camera like cartoon Google Maps. TONE: fun, colorful, cartoon-like, humorous, strategic, short sessions. Cats secretly control city squares while humans live their normal lives. FIRST PLAYABLE PROTOTYPE ONLY (keep it extremely simple, but design so it can grow into a big online game): MAP: A small cartoon city divided into ~6 territories (squares of houses/buildings). Streets, houses, buildings, a park (neutral zone), street lights, traffic lights that change red/green, cars moving occasionally, decorative background humans walking. World should feel alive. PLAYER: Choose your leader cat. For now only 2 basic cat species, each with male and female version. The selected cat is the leader and represents the player in the world. TERRITORY SYSTEM: Player starts owning 1 territory (their home square). The other 5 are controlled by NPC cat gangs or neutral. Each territory visually shows: who owns it (player color, NPC colors, neutral), whether an attack is in progress. After winning a battle against an adjacent NPC territory, the territory changes color/owner to the player. HOME BASE: The player's home territory shows: territory owner, number of defending cats, food, territory status, current missions, current battles. CAT SQUAD: Simple squad system. Each cat has only: Name, Health, Attack, Defense, Role, Level. Player starts with the leader cat. RECRUITMENT: One simple method: go to a location (e.g. rubbish or street), search, discover a stranded cat, feed/rescue it, it joins the squad. RESOURCES: Food is the main resource. Simple food counter (e.g. start with 100). Missions and finding food increase it. Recruiting cats or maintaining them can cost a little food. COMBAT (AUTOMATIC): No manual combat. The player only decides: which cats to send, to which territory, and whether to retreat. When groups meet, an automatic battle starts with a small on-screen animation: cats scratching, little attack effects, health bars, damage numbers, a battle timer. The player can watch or ignore it; the important info is who fights, how many cats, health, time remaining, and who wins. RETREAT: If the player is losing badly, they can press RETREAT to end the battle and save their remaining cats. NPC GANGS: NPC cat gangs control the other territories with simple strength levels (like the neutral monsters in an MMO). DEFENSE: The player can assign cats to defend their territory. A key strategic decision: keep cats at home to defend, or send them out to expand. If the home is attacked, the defending cats fight automatically. MISSIONS: At least one simple mission in the prototype, e.g. "Search the park for food. Duration: 30 seconds. Reward: +20 food." Cats are sent out, the player comes back later to collect the result. QUESTS: A simple quest list (e.g. recruit 1 cat, collect 50 food, capture 1 territory, complete 2 missions) with small rewards. Encourages short daily sessions. FIRST GAMEPLAY LOOP: 1. Start the game. 2. Choose your leader cat (2 species, male/female). 3. Spawn in the first territory; it becomes your home. 4. See the surrounding territories on the map. 5. Find and recruit another cat. 6. Gather food. 7. Assign some cats to defend your home square. 8. Select an NPC territory to attack. 9. Send your cats. 10. Automatic battle with simple scratch animation, health bars, timer, win/lose. 11. If you win, the territory becomes yours. 12. Now you control two territories. Repeat to expand. FUTURE EXPANSION (, full body, plain background. Drawn as a rough storyboard sketch: grey pencil and marker on white paper, one accent colour, loose flat shapes, no shading detail, no background clutter. Everything is original: never draw or resemble characters, places or logos from existing games, films or brands (no red-capped plumbers, no famous mascots), even when the idea names one. Keep the pictures honest: they promise what a small first version of this game, made in a game engine in a few days, can look like. Simple readable shapes, clear silhouettes, few flat materials, the in-game camera view. Never film stills, photoreal renders, AAA key art, detailed textures, cinematic lighting, or anything that looks like a big-studio game. No text, UI, HUD, logos or editor screens inside any image.
