Ottoman Tophane Gunner 1495

Generated from: Osprey Men-at-Arms military history plate illustration, semi-realistic historical gouache artwork, muted restrained 15th century palette, accurate period dress, strong readable silhouette. A SINGLE figure: one Ottoman gunner of the Tophane foundry serving an enormous bronze great bombard that fires a stone ball. The gunner wears a knee-length kaftan in earth tones and a white felt bork cap, a tall conical felt hat, and holds a long-handled powder ladle with a burning slow match in his other hand. Beside him the gigantic bronze bombard barrel lies on a massive timber bed, its bore hugely oversized compared with the man, with stone balls stacked nearby. Three-quarter top-down view facing right, on a plain flat light grey background with a soft dark ground shadow. Man and gun both fully in frame. No text, no border, no frame, no other figures, no horse.
