O mundo aberto funciona quando o jogador olha pra uma montanha no horizonte, decide ir até la, e encontra algo que valia a viagem. Não um ponto de quest marcado no mapa, mas algo que o jogo colocou la porque o design sabe que jogadores curiosos exploram. Esse e o padrão que diferencia um mundo aberto vivo de um mapa vazio com marcadores.

O Summer Engine ajuda a construir a estrutura de quests, o sistema de pontos de interesse, os ciclos de tempo e clima e a IA de NPCs que dão o mundo uma sensação de estar em operação. Você define o universo, o tom e a densidade de conteúdo. A IA ajuda a garantir que o mundo responda ao jogador de forma coerente.
