Plugins

Plugins that belong in a Summer project.

A curated, read-only catalog: the Summer agent layer, Godot community add-ons for cameras, terrain, dialogue, state logic and input UI, and a small AssetLib snapshot.

There are no Summer community plugins yet. Other AI assistants, generic LLM wrappers, test runners and invasive editor automation stay out until they pass a real compatibility review.

Parts that help the project.

This is not a neutral directory. Popularity puts a plugin in the review queue. Compatibility decides if it is listed. There is no community ranking until Summer has real installs, reports and moderation.

  • 1

    Summer-authenticated

Maintained or checked by Summer. Today that is the MIT agent layer: CLI, MCP server, skills, hooks and plugin manifests.

  • 18

    Godot community

Godot add-ons that are useful in Summer projects: cameras, terrain, dialogue, pathfinding, UI and runtime behavior. Their upstream maintainers own them.

  • 7

    Godot AssetLib

A small cached snapshot from AssetLib. These are external listings. Read the upstream docs before you add one to a project.

Link first. Review before install.

Godot AssetLib points to external repositories and pinned commits. The Godot Asset Store uses publisher accounts and hosted uploads. Summer is stricter for now: send an upstream link, not a package.

Summer takes links only while quarantine checks, a permission preview and rollback are designed.

  1. Submit a link

Send a Godot Asset Store page, an AssetLib entry or a public repo. Summer does not take plugin zip uploads.

  2. Check the package shape

A namespaced addons folder, plugin.cfg when needed, a README, a license, a pinned release or commit, and a checksum.

  3. Scan before listing

Look for native binaries, .gdextension files, OS or shell calls, network access, external CLIs, autoloads and project settings changes.

  4. Smoke test in quarantine

Open a disposable Summer project, turn on only what is needed, keep the logs and file changes, then check that the bridge still responds.

Needs a human check

Native code, platform SDKs, network backends, payment flows, ad SDKs, external tools, broad autoloads and project settings changes do not get a quick listing.

Not listed

  • Other AI assistants, MCP clients and generic LLM wrappers.
  • Test runners and project-wide automation, unless Summer supports the workflow.
  • Hidden binaries, unclear licenses, auto-updaters and broad project rewrites.

Suggest a plugin.

Anyone can send an upstream link. Summer reviews it before a plugin is listed or can be installed.
