What it is
This is not a Godot editor plugin and it is not the closed-source desktop engine. It is the open MIT agent layer that lets external coding agents understand Summer projects and call the supported engine tooling.
Why it fits
- CLI commands and setup flow for external coding agents.
- MCP server surface for engine tools and project context.
- Versioned skills, hooks, and manifests that keep agent work aligned with Summer project conventions.
Before you add it
- Open agent tooling, not the closed-source desktop engine. Use it when Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, Roo, or OpenCode needs the Summer project conventions and engine tools.
- Keep the desktop engine source boundary separate from the open agent tooling.
- Pin agent setup to a known release or commit when using it in a team project.
Source and ownership
Maintained, versioned, or explicitly checked by Summer. This label is currently used for the open agent layer, not the closed-source desktop engine.
