# Tower Defense Templates

Create tower defense games with Summer Engine. Get inspired by templates below, or start from scratch with AI.

Tower defense is about planning a kill zone. Enemies follow a path toward your base, and you stop them by placing and upgrading towers with the gold each wave earns you. The depth comes from coverage, damage types, and spending wisely so the next wave does not break through.

A template gives you that loop running: a path enemies walk, placeable towers that target and fire, waves that escalate, a currency from kills, and a base with lives to lose. With Summer Engine, the AI game engine compatible with Godot 4, you build on it by talking: ask for a slowing tower, an enemy that resists splash damage, a boss wave, or an upgrade tier, and the AI wires the towers, waves, and economy with you while you play to keep the difficulty curve fair.
