# v0.5.58 — Faster editing, safer checkpoints, reliable project discovery

Released July 26, 2026

## Highlights

* AI tools stay attached to the correct live project when several editor windows are open
* Checkpoints include unsaved scripts and scenes by flushing open editor buffers first
* Repeated edits reuse known filesystem and Git state while startup failures preserve their diagnosis

## Changes

Improved
* Project Git status is refreshed in the background and reused across the editor instead of repeatedly launching the same expensive checks
* Checkpoint creation flushes open scripts and scenes before staging, so recovery points reflect the work visible in the editor
* Project state updates reuse known filesystem and repository state instead of repeating expensive work after every AI edit
* Git operations avoid repeated repository discovery and configuration queries when the answer is already known

Fixed
* Multiple editor instances publish separate discovery records so writes and cancellations can target the intended project safely
* Editors report unfinished startup and import work when they exit before initialization settles
* Headless platform alerts return controlled errors instead of aborting and hiding the original failure
