# v0.5.57 — Safer automation, tied to the right project

Released July 25, 2026

## Highlights

* AI tools stay attached to the correct live project across editor windows
* Editor-only changes can be verified without interrupting the project you are using
* Failed writes and recovery problems surface honestly instead of reporting false success

## Changes

Added
* Supervised editor-context scripting gives Summer a safe way to author and verify changes that require the live editor

Improved
* Summer receives fresh project structure and Git state as files change, so work begins from more accurate context
* Multi-window discovery recovers automatically when the newest editor closes, keeping CLI and MCP tools connected to a live project

Fixed
* Headless and batch verification no longer steal the machine-wide editor connection or shared recovery locks
* Scripted edits and verification failures no longer report success when the requested change did not land
* Agent-authored assets register with the editor immediately, and stale checkpoint locks recover more safely
